It was well stated and interesting. I honestly was not a fan of these doctors. I felt they were more about TV show's and less about medicine, until I read the book. This book was FAR more scientific and explained much more than anything I have ever read before on this subject. This was so well done that I had my husband read it and we are seriously considering making an apt. for an evaluation!I think it could use a new edition with a bit more current information.

This is a must read for all women! The Bermans do a wonderful job of explaining the latest knowledge base of sexual function in language all eduction levels would understand. Knowledge is power!

It focused heavily on masturbation...that is not my preference for a relationship

Being a 22 year old woman suffering from a rough past I can truly say this book has opened my eyes and has made me understand a lot about myself. After 9 years I am ready to start my road to recovery. I would truly recommend this book this for women of all ages these 2 sisters did an amazing job.

Good book but focuses a lot on clinical issues and not so much on what to do if you don't have medical reasons for lack of sexual satisfaction.

This was fine, but in the end did not address the needs that I had. I ended up going to the Dr. for a more evaluated diagnosis.

These guys never disappoint! I learned iOS and Objective-C from them, got a few apps on the App Store and halfway through the design of an idea that got a little too big for my skills. Then Apple came along and torpedoed everything with a strange new bare-bones language called Swift. I dropped out for a few years to let the language mature, and it has. Using this book to rekindle my hobbyist approach to programming, and this book is, well, fun! Nothing quite like that feeling when you beat the challenges they set for you at the conclusion of each chapter. Highly recommended!

Having programmed in Obj C for some time (even on a NeXT cube) I am not new to programming nor Apple's platforms. I wanted to get started with Swift, and I found this book to be a great introduction. The authors take a time to introduce the basics, but they also dive into more esoteric aspects of the language. The code nearer the end gets into app development, but much of the book focuses on the language features and why they are useful.

I am a longtime C++ and Objective-C engineer who wanted to get up and running with Swift. I was worried about the basic/advanced balance of the book. I didn't need eight chapters on variables but I also didn't want them to jump into generics right off the bat. The book does a very good job of walking you through the entire language one topic at a time, ramping you up in a very sane way. Highly recommended.

Great way to learn Swift over the dry Apple Swift iBooks edition. This is the BNR 1st edition for Swift, which is a follow-on to their Objective-C programming classic. If you are looking for iOS specific content, then you need to get the updated edition of their iOS Programming book (edition 5). There is a chapter dedicated to both OS X and iOS and a chapter around interoperability with Objective-C.Be sure to check out the book's companion forum:[BNR Website]Also, there is an errata page at:[BNR Website]

This is a good solid book on SWIFT 2. I am half way through the book. I would have given it 5 stars but there are frequent forward references to concepts that have not been covered. The kindle version does not have the X-Code shortcut summary that the hardcover has.

This is a very good introduction to Swift. It is well written and easy to read leading the learner through progressively difficult concepts. I already had the Kindle edition but like to have hard copies of academic texts so I can write in the margins and make tabbed bookmarks. However, the day after this book was purchased, I found that Apple has Swift three in beta test for distribution later this year. Just like Swift 2, the third version will not be totally compatible with Swift 2 (or 1). Supposedly, Swift 3 will be the last Swift version that Apple will break with a newer version. Again, this is an excellent text, just be aware that there will be a new version, not just a new edition, later this year or early next year.

I have every book that Big Nerd Ranch (BNR) publishes, and for most of them I have the past one or two editions as well. You just can't beat BNR for Mac programming training. Their Swift and iOS books are top rate, as are their in person training sessions in Georgia. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone for advanced technical training.

It has being fun for me so far to read and practice myself. This book has clear instructions which are broken into sections with main points on each. I would recommend this book for my friends and family members who are wanting to learn a different programming language during free time.

This is the first book that I have of Cicero's, and I purchased this book during a time in my life when I want to consider contemplate friendship in itself and pursue the good of healthy friendships with others. If you have have a similar intention, I don't think that you would regret reading this book.Book Material: This hardcover book feels solid, and the font used on the pages is large enough and easy to read. On the the pages on the left of the book is the original Latin, and on the right is the English translation. I have not found any serious flaws either in the editing of the book or in the book's physical construction.Contents: Cicero comes across as very wise and articulate. His principles of friendship and his description of his own friendship treat both the philosophical dimensions of the good of friendship and its value for the good life, as well as the psychological dimensions of what constitutes a good friendship. Cicero describes how his own good friendship became an affection, healthy friendship--as well as how other friendships that he has observed have become so--and he also describes how other friendships have gone awry. He offers advice for both situations.For someone, like myself, who finds the social nuances of friendship somewhat unintuitive--or someone who wishes that there was an instruction manual for various important topics in life that rendered clarity on some of life's confusion--I would strongly recommend this book. I now have both this hardcover of the book and the Audible version, each of which I recommend. I will read this book more than once to absorb as much wisdom from its pages as I can.

I bought the hardcover version of this book. and it cost 162 dollars.this book use the CHEAPTEST MATERIAL in all my text books (and i have multiple Masters degrees so i have a lot of books). I simply cannot accept book cost over 162 dollar use the same type of paper you find in a 2 dollar book. the paper are thin and yellowish, reminds me the book i use to use back in 80th.i also bought another book "data mining concept and techniques", cost 50 dollar and actually feel like a premium book.we all know books are extremely over priced by like a million percent (thus the "india edition" text books only cost like a quarter of the price). i just hope the publisher spend a few dollars on improving the paper and print quality of the book. do they really need to save 5 dollar on a 160 dollar of pure profit?

We used this book in a class which was my first academic introduction to data mining.The book's strengths are that it does a good job covering the field as it was around the 2008-2009 timeframe. Included are discussions of exploring data, classification, clustering, association analysis, cluster analysis, and anomaly detection. Additional bonus appendices cover some elements of linear algebra, dimensionality reduction, probability and statistics, regression analysis, and optimization, in case those concepts are fuzzy for the student. They're by no means thorough enough to learn the topic, merely to remind the reader of salient points they should remember.I liked the structure of the book, with each analysis topic being divided into a basic concepts and algorithms chapter, followed by an additional issues and algorithms chapter.I liked that when algorithms were presented, they were presented as pseudocode rather than in any particular language.What I did not like is that separating the concepts from their applications created a bit too much distance for those wanting to apply these concepts. In our class, we were using a tool called Weka, which provides reference implementations of various data mining algorithms in Java, and sometimes it was difficult to tell what we should learn from the results of our experiments. The book did not discuss this very deeply, and certainly not against the types of results that we were getting from our application.During the course, because I knew we would be relying on Weka, I purchased a copy of ISBN-10: 0123748569 http://www.amazon.com/Data-Mining-Practical-Techniques-Management/dp/0123748569/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_b, which was written by the group that maintains Weka. I found their book to be helpful while I ran the Weka tool, and I was able to use it to develop command line use of the tool and solve some memory management problems. This book also covers much the same ground, although from a bit more practical perspective.Later, because I'm interested in data mining in a large database environment, I purchased ISBN-10: 0123814790 http://www.amazon.com/Data-Mining-Concepts-Techniques-Management/dp/0123814790/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_c, which is much more focused on the "how" of data mining, to include describing the use of data cubes and the necessities of processing it using data mining algorithms.I cannot complain about Tan's book, just that I wished it had slightly more thorough explanations of what one should learn as data mining is certainly an iterative process. If you're interested in Weka, I recommend the Witten book, and if you're new to data modeling as well, I recommend the Han book.

I really like this book due to how easy of a read it is. This book is meant for people from many different backgrounds (not just computer science) to learn about data mining. If you are looking for deep in depth details then you are most likely going to be a little disappointed. The examples are well thought out and the figures are all really informative. If your looking to learn about data mining then I would recommend this book to you.

I really appreciated the annotated bibliography at the end of each chapter. Potential readers should be aware that this is a survey text, but if you are looking for introductory material on data mining, with lots of great references on where to go for deeper reading in selected topics, this is a good place to start.

Although this book is considered as a standard introductory textbook for data mining classes, in my view it has limited scope. Key issues such as the logic (and perhaps some theory) behind classification and clustering techniques is not presented thoroughly, while there is an extended presentation of association analysis. This is in line with the research interests of the authors of course ( at least that is what I concluded by viewing the reference lists at the end of the chapters - the authors have published extensively in this field). The problem is that association rules are reported by other sources to be less useful than newest algorithms such as collaborative filtering. No coverage on regression exists in the book as well. So in overall I believe there are more useful books to introduce someone on this very interesting and fun field!

This textbook is extremely dry and focuses on many aspects of data mining that are not applicable to practical applications. Would instead recommend a better statistics book coupled with a machine learning text.

This book was recommended by my Machine Learning professor. and has a wealth of information on clustering, belief networks, decision trees and clustering.

Tan, Steinbach and Kumar did a good job. It is definitely a good read on Data Mining (DM). Pretty much all the fundamental DM algorithms are covered and explained in simplistic fashion. Most of the high level DM algorithms are basically off shoots of one or more of these fundamental DM algorithms, so it is imperative to have a clear understanding of them. This book is very helpful in that regard. It would have been nice if the book covered Support Vector Machine in more detail.Undergraduate level Statistics and Linear Algebra knowledge is needed to understand some concepts covered in the book.Good luck future miners.

I hope this affords me the space to comment. I was born in the UK in 1964 and was given one of yoru fathers tapes Relaxation made in 1978. I moved to the USA in 1986 and was going through some old things and came across the tape I brought back across the pond. It was as relaxing listening to it today as it was back then, I am so pleased to see the great work continue :) Thank you. About the Author

Much has changed since 1976 when I began writing and recording my first hypnosis tape, and since 1979 when I recorded my first subliminal tape. My name is Barrie Konicov. I am the author and voice of Potentials Unlimited products. I began my hypnosis career in 1976 by conducting group Weight Loss and Stop Smoking classes in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I wanted to extend the benefits of the class once the people had gone home, so I wrote and recorded these two titles to give away to the class participants. Later, I would go on to write and record over 200 titles. My intention was to bring the benefits of hypnosis to every household. Standing the test of time, my products have become the standard for hypnosis/subliminal products around the world. Currently, I live in KY while my daughter Stephanie continues the Potentials Unlimited tradition.

This is a very nostalgic item for me; my Mom used to put it on for my siblings and I to help us get to sleep. I really enjoy the music.

I absolutely love this CD. Puts me to sleep almost every time. It is so relaxing. I have a lot of stressful situations in my life and this is just what I needed to help me calm down. His voice is soothing.

I've bought sublinal tapes in past very disappionted was not what I was looking for wasted my time and money on this product

I have this on cassette. I also have Stop Smoking, Stop Drinking and Overcoming Procrastination all on CD. My first Konicov was Self Hypnosis on tape (don't know what happened to it) and then I found Stop Smoking on tape and I later purchased Money and Prosperity on tape but it was stolen. I did what I was instructed to do and it worked especially the Stop Smoking. I completely gave up cigarettes and have not had the compulsion or craving to smoke at all. With the Relaxation tape I listened to it for 30 days straight as I was having sleep difficulties. After that I listened to it whenever I felt the need. Since I was spending so much of my time on the PC I decided to create myself a background that would remind me of the tape and its messages. I used RELAX in big bold pleasing letters and I was surprised at the effect it had. Immediately I calmed down upon seeing the word. I also tell myself to relax when I am feeling uptight and the rest of the tape kicks right in and I chill. Let no one tell you subliminal messaging is ineffective, if done correctly it is powerfully effective and if you are willing that makes it even more effective as your mind will be even more ready to receive the messages as I was. I was so ready to quit smoking that I am sure it is part of the reason it was so effective so quickly. I hardly have to listen to that tape anymore. Thanks Barrie

This CD really works to get the most relaxing night's sleep I have ever experienced. I recommend this to all who want to awaken refreshed and relaxed. I feel better, look younger, and am more relaxed since I have started using this relaxation CD. AND "it is acceptable to sleep thru this recording, since the subconscious mind never sleeps". 5 STARS!!!!!

The first time I listened to this CD I nearly fell asleep in the middle of the afternoon. It was wonderful! Unfortunately my son made so much noise, he destroyed the mood. But, at least I know the relaxation techniques work.

Weak sauce. It reads like a transcript from a rip off JM&A training session. It has plenty of grammatical errors and very little organization. I called him to ask for more clarification and the "bro" kept desking me to buy more product.

Not really impressed with the content and it is very limited in terms of material if you are a newbie finance manager, this can help.

Great for gaining for basic knowledge of Finance.. However, there just was not enough pages to keep growing with it.

This guy doesn't know the first thing about being an F&I director. His methods will make you non-compliant in the eyes of the state. Menu selling is not only effective, it is the best way to guarantee compliance.

Worst book to learn anything F&I related... was this guy even in the car business?
